No April Fools jokes today – between the government’s recent words regarding journalists and a need to share our travel plans, our plans take priority =)

Although our time in Thailand is coming to an end, there’s plenty more exploring to come.

If you’ll be in Bangkok on April 4th, make your way to the book release party of A guidebook to offbeat Thailand, which covers over 100 of Thailand’s unusual, offbeat and bizarre destinations. It’s at CHOMP, which is a short walk from Khaosan road – the Facebook event page has all the details.

There’s a few more sights to check out in the Bangkok area before…

We head to Africa…

Bangkok to Europe

Specifically, Cairo, Egypt and Tunis, Tunisia before going all over Tunisia for a few days. Some of the Star Wars sets used in ‘Episode I’ are still around, and we’ll be checking them out before…

…we then head to Europe…

Europe

For about three months (all Schengen-area countries) to be exact. Barcelona, Spain will be our first point of exploring before I head to the TBEX Europe conference nearby… From there, it’s a whirlwind of traveling:

  • Marseille and Lyon (France)
  • Lausanne, Bern, and Zurich (Switzerland)
  • Liepzig, Berlin, and Dresden (Germany)
  • Prague (Czech Republic)
  • Vienna and Hallstatt (Austria)
  • Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Sardinia (Italy)

…and then South America!

Europe to South America

Medellin, Colombia, to be exact – at least, that’s the plan. Past that, we’ll be exploring the countries of South America for the long-term – perhaps five years or so.

I expect to have LOTS of stories to tell, and I’ll be telling many of them right here on the blog. It takes some time to upload photos and write blog posts, so if you’re not already following One Weird Globe, start following the stories and places in near-real-time!

We’re not quite done with Thailand yet…

There are still several posts about Thailand coming up, so be looking for those =)

Are you in any of these cities? Want to meet up? Make contact and let me know!
