Get your app, hotel, product, or tour in front of thousands of travelers.

I review travel-related apps, hotels, travel-related products, and guided tours in blog posts that also gets promoted on social media  See previous reviews here, and see how things are rated here. All things are reviewed honestly, and a standard disclosure is used.

For all questions relating to demographics, numbers of visitors, social media followers, etc., please see oneweirdglobe.com/advertising.

Reviewing Travel Apps / Websites

I currently rock a Macbook Pro, an iPhone 5S and an iPad 3.  It’s usually easiest to review an app already on the App Store, but I have Testflight installed on both devices. As long as it’s about travel in some meaningful way, it’s probably a fit.

I’m also happy to consult with pre-release apps, websites, and teams via Skype. These sessions are confidential, and aim to cover the UI, UX, and technical aspects (think The User Is Drunk). They will result in a review, but not until until the app is made public. This enables your team to work out any issues, and otherwise ensures the review is about the final offering.

Reviewing Books

Reviewing Hotels

I’m happy to review hotels that are on or along our way. In general, a 2-3 night stay is exchanged for a blog post reviewing the property and some promotional social media (typically a daily post that goes out to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Happy to consider other proposals as well if your hotel has a program in place – send on details below.

Our schedule:

  • September: traveling from Toronto to Asheville, NC (exact route TBD)
  • October-March 2017: the US (broadly speaking, from North Carolina in a western direction)
  • March-Summer 2017: Western Canada

Reviewing Travel Products

Happy to receive both physical products and virtual products – as long as it’s something travelers would use or people would use while traveling, it’s worth reviewing.

For physical products, please fill in the form below and I’ll follow up with my current mailing address (ahh, the wonders of being a nomad with no permanent address). I’ll reserve the right to use or give away the sample product once my review is complete.

For virtual products, please feel free to ask any questions needed to arrange for a license, key, or other sort of authorization.

Reviewing Tours

I’m happy to review tours that are on or along our way. In general, a tour for my wife and I is exchanged for a blog post reviewing the tour and some promotional social media (typically a post or two that goes out to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Happy to consider other proposals as well – send on details below.
